New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) says the tens of thousands of migrants making their way to her state can help solve a workforce crisis that has hobbled businesses across the state, as thousands of jobs from New York City to upstate farms sit vacant.
In remarks Monday alongside New York City Mayor Eric Adams (D), Hochul urged the Biden administration to speed the process by which undocumented immigrants can earn the right to obtain employment in the U.S., while they wait for asylum claims to be processed.
