N.H. governor won’t seek 5th term

Sununu, 48, considered running for president before bowing out.

New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu (R) will not seek a fifth term in office, he said told supporters on Wednesday, forgoing the possibility of becoming the Granite State’s longest-serving chief executive.

“Public service should never be a career, and the time is right for another Republican to lead our great state,” Sununu said on Twitter. “This was no easy decision as I truly love serving as governor.”
