Education, abortion are top issues in Virginia legislative races

Both parties released strategy memos highlighting their paths to winning in November.

Inflation, crime and parents’ rights in education are the primary issues Virginia Republicans intend to highlight as they vie to take back control of the state Senate and expand their majority in the House, according to a memo released Thursday. 

“These three issues are driving enthusiasm among Republican voters and will serve as critical factors in key battleground districts across the Commonwealth,” stated the Republican State Leadership Committee memo from the group’s president, Dee Duncan.
