INDIANAPOLIS — Restrictions on foreign ownership of U.S. land will likely remain a hot topic in the states next year, with lawmakers at the recent National Conference of State Legislatures annual summit saying that they will push to create or expand them.
“This is a bill that we are looking at bringing next year, and I’m hoping we’ll be able to get some bipartisan [support],” Colorado Rep. Junie Joseph (D), who represents the Boulder area, said during the audience question-and-answer portion of a panel discussion on foreign land ownership.
