Mass., R.I., Conn. team up on offshore wind

They’re seeking multi-state proposals that will cut costs by developing projects at scale.

Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut are joining forces to create a first-in-the-nation consortium to allow for coordinated acquisition of offshore wind-generated power as each state solicits offshore wind energy generation through their respective state procurements.

Under a memorandum of understanding, the three states will together seek multi-state offshore wind proposals that will cut costs by developing projects at scale.
