Utah sues TikTok over alleged harms to children

The state of Utah on Tuesday filed a lawsuit against TikTok that accuses the social media giant of harming children by deploying features meant to keep users glued to the app.

The litigation, filed in state court following a months-long investigation, comes nearly nine months after Gov. Spencer Cox (R) and Attorney General Sean Reyes (R) announced plans to sue social media companies over youth harm.
