More than 2.3 million people would gain access to health coverage if the 10 states that have not moved to expand Medicaid under the 2010 Affordable Care Act changed course, according to a report released Monday by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the Urban Institute.
Medicaid expansion in those states — Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Wisconsin and Wyoming — would amount to a 25% drop in the uninsured population, the analysis found.
