DENVER — Artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT could help local leaders analyze government finances and forecast revenue, according to two forthcoming academic papers presented this week here at a conference for public finance researchers and practitioners.
Speaking with Pluribus News ahead of their respective presentations at the Association for Budgeting and Financial Management conference, authors of the papers said humans are still necessary to complete analyses and forecasts.
