Legislators in dozens of states considered revising telehealth policies this year, responding to continued demand that first surged during the Covid-19 pandemic.
But with most states already settled on their post-pandemic approach to virtual health care, the majority of the bills before state legislatures consisted of tweaks to existing policies rather than major overhauls. Telehealth policy experts expect that trend to continue in 2024 as telehealth becomes increasingly embedded in health care delivery.
