AI regulation sparks super PAC battle in midterm elections

Big-money groups want to affect who’s making policy in the states and Congress.

The battle over artificial intelligence regulation is shifting to the campaign arena as competing super PACs seek a policy edge by weighing in on the midterm elections.

Money is flowing in states including Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas. Much of the spending focus so far is on congressional races, but AI interests are also eyeing state legislative and gubernatorial contests.
