Wicks leads rewrite of California’s Age-Appropriate Design Code

The overhaul of the online child protection law aims to eliminate potentially unconstitutional provisions.

A landmark California children’s online protection law that spawned similar measures around the country may get overhauled to eliminate provisions that courts have said are likely unconstitutional.

The new bill is scheduled to be heard Thursday in the Assembly Privacy and Consumer Protection Committee.
