On Griswold anniversary, advocates push states to protect contraception

Since Roe was overturned, legislatures have considered dozens of bills to guarantee access, some with bipartisan support.

Advocates across the country are commemorating the anniversary of a landmark U.S. Supreme Court decision by urging lawmakers to advance stalled legislation that would safeguard contraception access.

“We have seen reproductive rights struck down in state after state after state,” Pennsylvania Rep. Leanne Krueger, a Democrat, said at a press conference Tuesday in the Capitol rotunda.
