New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill, a Democrat, signed legislation establishing a framework to build new nuclear projects in the Garden State in an effort to lower electricity rates.
“This bill strikes the right balance, moving boldly on nuclear, while protecting the everyday New Jerseyans who pay the bills. That’s why it’s passed the Assembly and Senate unanimously,” Sherrill said at a signing ceremony Monday. “No small feat in a state that still can’t find common ground on Taylor Ham versus pork roll.”
