Indiana AG sues drug manufacturers, PBMs

The complaint alleges a consipracy to inflate insulin prices.

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita (R) filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the country’s largest drug manufacturers and pharmacy benefit managers for allegedly conspiring to inflate the costs of insulin.

“We believe, we have alleged and we will prove that they have taken advantage of people with serious medical conditions like diabetes,” Rokita said at an announcement event in Lake County, where he said the death rate from diabetes, heart disease, cancer and kidney disease is significantly higher than the rates in the rest of the state and the country.
