West Virginia set to cut income taxes again

The state enacted a 21.25% rate cut last year and was already scheduled for a 4% cut next year.

West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice (R) is poised to sign a 2% across-the-board cut to the state’s five personal income tax rates, building on recent rate reductions that were already among the most aggressive in the country.

A day after the Republican-led legislature passed the measure, Justice praised the tax cut during public remarks Wednesday as a policy that will spur economic growth and encourage people to move to the state.
