Mass. House sends climate package to Gov

It aims to speed up the permitting process for building clean energy projects.

The Massachusetts House on Thursday gave final approval to a sweeping climate package to help the state lower greenhouse gas emissions, including by speeding up the permitting process for building clean energy projects.

The bill, approved on a 126-17 vote after the Senate passed it last month, now goes to Gov. Maura Healey (D).
