How Trump’s budget cut plans could impact states

Republicans in Congress are considering eliminating tax breaks and slashing federal funding for services such as health care and food stamps, as they seek to cover the cost of a tax cut and immigration enforcement bill.

The New York Times last week published the 50-page list of policy options Republicans have been circulating as they try to figure out a mix of tax and spending changes that could win enough votes to become law.
