Bills seek to mask doctor names on abortion prescriptions

Colorado is moving to become the second state to allow doctors to leave their names off abortion medication labels in the week since a New York doctor was charged in Louisiana for prescribing abortion pills to a pregnant minor.

“What we’re doing here in Colorado is to mitigate,” Rep. Junie Joseph (D) said in an interview. “We’re responding as quickly as we can to laws that are coming from the federal government and laws that are coming from other states that erode the rights of people here in Colorado.”
