Arkansas legislators pass kids online privacy bill

It was based on a bill that has languished in Congress.

The Arkansas House gave final approval to a state version of the federal Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act 2.0, also known as COPPA 2.0, which has languished in Congress.

The vote Tuesday to send the bill to Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders (R) appears to make Arkansas the first state to pass its own version of that legislation.
