Technology industry allies and adversaries took divergent lessons from last week’s election results and what they might augur for next year’s midterms.

Chamber of Progress, a self-described center-left tech trade group, hailed Democratic victories in the New Jersey and Virginia governor races as evidence of the power of “tech optimism.”
