Delaware Gov signs bill to decouple from Trump tax law

The legislature moved swiftly over the past week to advance the bill.

Delaware is the third state after Illinois and Michigan to drop or delay conformity with federal corporate tax changes to help save money in a tight budget year. 

Democratic Gov. Matt Meyer signed a bill Wednesday that decouples the state from business expensing and depreciation provisions in President Donald Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act.
