DeSantis pitches consumer protections for AI, data centers

The Florida governor wants his proposals passed in the next legislative session.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Thursday unveiled what he’s calling an AI bill of rights and new restrictions on the data centers that power artificial intelligence, calling for multiple consumer protections as AI technologies permeate everyday life. 

“As AI continues to develop we’re committed to safeguarding Floridians’ rights, data, tax dollars, and way of life,” the Republican wrote in a post on X
