17 GOP governors push back on W.H.’s proposed changes to NEPA law

Seventeen Republican governors wrote to the White House on Tuesday to oppose proposed changes to the 1970 National Environmental Policy Act, including increased consideration for climate change-related effects.

The group said the proposal reversed reforms made under President Donald Trump in 2020 that focused on speeding the process up.
