Tech regulation is taking a prominent role in agendas as state legislative sessions commence. 

States have become laboratories for regulating artificial intelligence, social media, data privacy and more in the absence of federal action. That trend is on track to continue this year, despite President Donald Trump’s December executive order aimed at thwarting state AI rules.
