The National Telecommunications and Information Administration said Tuesday it is on track to make public by June 30 how much of the $42.5 billion in federal broadband infrastructure spending each state will receive.

The confirmation came as the Federal Communication Commission released the latest version of its broadband map, which revealed that 8.3 million U.S. homes and businesses still do not have access to high-speed internet. That was an increase of 330,000 since the previous iteration of the map, which was released in November.
