Consumer and privacy advocates are urging Democratic state lawmakers in California and Connecticut to beef up artificial intelligence regulation legislation that could be replicated across the country.
Two closely watched bills have drawn the most attention: an omnibus AI regulation measure from Connecticut Sen. James Maroney (D) and an algorithmic discrimination bill authored by California Assemblymember Rebecca Bauer-Kahan (D).
