AGs warn AI companies on kid safety

The 44 officials said companies would be held accountable for harms to minors.

A bipartisan coalition of 44 state attorneys general is putting leading artificial intelligence companies on notice: protect kids from sexually inappropriate chatbots or else.

In a letter Monday, the attorneys general said companies would be held accountable for harms to minors and implored them to put the wellbeing of children at the forefront of their decision making.
