Bipartisan push to ban kratom picks up steam

Lawmakers in at least five states have moved to ban the sale of kratom, a supplement often sold at gas stations and smoke shops as a stimulant or sedative that health experts say can act as gateway drugs.

The legislative pushes have won bipartisan support.
