Broadband money starts moving to states for nationwide internet expansion

More than a dozen states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico, have had their initial proposals fully approved.

Federal broadband money is about to start flowing to states.

The infrastructure program designed to deliver high-speed internet to unserved and underserved areas of the country has reached a key milestone that will allow states to begin to unlock their allocation of funds and solicit internet service providers to do the work.
