California is partnering with a New Jersey company to buy an over-the-counter life-saving naloxone nasal spray product at a significant discount, the governor’s office announced Monday.

The $24-per-pack cost is about 40% cheaper than the current market price for the opioid overdose-reversing drug. That is allowing the state to buy 3.2 million twin-packs, far more than it had originally planned.
