Calif. online safety advocates file ballot measure

Youth online safety advocates filed a sweeping California ballot measure Wednesday that aims to protect kids from the dangers of artificial intelligence.

The California Kids AI Safety Act would regulate companion chatbots, require safety testing of AI products for kids, place new kid safety obligations on AI and social media companies, and ban phones in classrooms.
