Cannabis market needs lower taxes, simplified regulations, lawmakers say

As low prices threaten the survival of many legal marijuana businesses, some Western state lawmakers said during a Pluribus News event Wednesday that it’s time to lower taxes and simplify regulations on legal cannabis.

“We’re losing revenue based on the [tax] structure right now,” California Sen. Steven Bradford (D) said.
