Capito leads W.Va. GOP race for governor

West Virginia Del. Moore Capito (R) leads the race for the Republican nomination for governor next year, topping two fellow Republican elected officials and a wealthy car dealer in a new survey.

The poll, conducted by Research America on behalf of MetroNews West Virginia, found Capito claiming support from 32% of Republican voters. Attorney General Patrick Morrisey (R) would win 23% of the vote, followed by auto dealer Chris Miller at 9% and Secretary of State Mac Warner (R) at 7%.
