CDC warns over low vaccine rates

Only 17% of adults have received the latest vaccination against Covid-19.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Thursday issued a warning that vaccination rates against common winter diseases are lower than normal in the critical winter months, leading to a spike in hospitalizations in recent weeks.

The CDC said fewer Americans have been vaccinated against influenza, Covid-19 and respiratory syncytial virus — or RSV — than in previous years.
