Colo. lawmakers sign off on protections for gig drivers

It’s the result of negotiated compromises with affected companies.

Colorado legislators gave final approval Monday to two bills that would provide new protections for drivers for Uber, DoorDash and other rideshare and delivery apps.

One of the bills would apply to delivery network companies, such as DoorDash and Instacart. The other would cover rideshare companies including Uber and Lyft.
