Dems call for 100% taxes on Trump’s ‘Anti-Weaponization’ fund

Lawmakers and governors in seven states want to tax the payouts out of existence.

Democrats in at least seven states, outraged by President Trump’s plan to spend nearly $1.8 billion to compensate rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol Building and other allies, are seeking to fully tax payouts from the so-called “Anti-Weaponization Fund.”

Lawmakers and governors in California, Connecticut, Illinois, Michigan, New York, New Jersey and Wisconsin have all proposed levying 100% taxes on proceeds from the fund.
