DeSantis recounts 2023 successes in State of the State speech

The remarks came less than a week before the Iowa caucuses.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) kicked off the 2024 state legislative session Tuesday with a State of the State address that sought to remind voters of his 2023 legislative achievements.

The speech came less than a week before the Iowa caucuses, where he and the rest of the Republican presidential field are trailing far behind former President Donald Trump in polling.
