DeSantis signs immigration bill, jabs Biden

The new law will require hospitals to collect data on patients’ immigration status, among other provisions.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) Wednesday attacked President Joe Biden over his immigration policies in a likely preview of a presidential stump speech to come as he signed far-reaching legislation clamping down on illegal immigration. 

“We’ve got massive problems at our southern border with Mexico,” DeSantis said at a bill signing ceremony. “This is a responsibility that [Biden] has defaulted on really from day one of his presidency. … He is charged with ensuring the safety and security of this country. He’s charged with ensuring that the laws are faithfully executed and he has refused to meet that obligation.”
