Idaho poised to set strict work requirements for Medicaid expansion

The bill would require three months of employment documentation for eligible enrollees to qualify.

Idaho is poised to enact one of the country’s most stringent work requirements six years after voters approved Medicaid expansion.

A bill awaiting Republican Gov. Brad Little’s signature would require adults in the expanded eligibility population to submit three months of employment documentation to qualify for the government-run health insurance program for people with low incomes and disabilities.
