Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (D) holds an advantage over his Republican rival in an ancestrally Democratic state that has shifted decisively to the right in recent years, a week ahead of an election that will decide the biggest prize in American politics this year.
In a campaign season that has been fought largely on his terms, Beshear has built a massive fundraising advantage, and polls have consistently shown him ahead of his challenger, Attorney General Daniel Cameron (R).
