Lawmakers debate state AI regulation, innovation at national summit

BOSTON — State lawmakers meeting here this week are wrestling with state government’s role in both incentivizing and regulating the artificial intelligence industry, as AI increasingly becomes a part of everyday life.

AI is the focus of at least six panel discussions at the National Conference of State Legislatures annual summit, which officially kicked off Monday and runs through Wednesday.
