Legislators urge PJM to accelerate renewable energy projects

Governors are also pushing to reform the grid operator to give states more say.

More than 100 state legislators from 10 states are urging grid operator PJM Interconnection to accelerate the deployment of renewable energy projects in the face of expiring federal subsidies. 

The lawmakers — from Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia — want to maximize the use of expiring federal clean energy tax credits.
