Louisiana protects IVF access with new law

It’s the latest red state to do so.

Louisiana is the latest Republican-controlled state to protect access to in vitro fertilization with a bill Gov. Jeff Landry (R) allowed to become law without his signature. 

Starting on Aug. 1, the state will provide health care providers criminal immunity from liability for claims related to in vitro fertilization. Civil claims would be treated the same as any medical malpractice allegation.
