Maryland is setting the foundation for smarter grid

A bill awaiting the governor’s signature seeks to harness and incorporate the renewable energy being generated and stored at homes.

Maryland wants electric vehicles to give back — and other states to follow the path it’s blazing.

It is set to become the first state to demand utilities accelerate the incorporation of bidirectional-charging systems for EVs into the state’s power grid.
