Minn. Dems consider public option health bill to close session

Minnesota would be the fourth state to approve an Obamacare-style public health insurance option under a proposal that the Democratic-controlled House is set to vote on.

The measure, part of a sweeping health care package the Senate already passed, would allow Minnesotans on the individual market to buy into MinnesotaCare, the state’s basic health program that is currently only open to people with low incomes.
