Missouri Lt. Gov. Mike Kehoe (R) holds a double-digit lead over House Minority Leader Crystal Quade (D) in the first snapshot of the race to replace retiring Gov. Mike Parson (R).
A Saint Louis University/YouGov poll taken the week following the Aug. 6 primaries found Kehoe leading by a 51%-41% margin. That edge closely resembled Republican advantages in the race for president and a U.S. Senate contest, illustrating Missouri’s rightward in recent years.
