N.J. superfund bill advances in Assembly

A Senate companion bill is also moving forward.

The New Jersey Assembly Appropriations Committee approved legislation that would force certain energy producers including oil and gas companies to fund climate change adaptation projects.   

The Polluters Pay to Make New Jersey More Affordable Act was advanced Tuesday on a party-line vote. A companion bill is also advancing in the Senate.
