N.Y. lawmakers approve warning labels for social media

It’s the second state to do so in recent days.

New York lawmakers on Tuesday gave final approval to legislation that would require warning labels on social media, making it the second state to do so in recent days. 

Under the bill, a warning would be required on social media platforms that deploy “addictive” features such as autoplay, infinite scroll or push notifications. The warning would have to appear each time a user accesses the site.
