Paid leave supporters undeterred after N.M. defeat

They hope to add to the 13 states plus D.C. that have such programs in place.

Statewide paid family leave supporters are vowing to keep pushing the issue after a much-anticipated bill fell short in New Mexico this month.

Lawmakers in Illinois, Michigan and Pennsylvania may seriously consider creating statewide paid family and medical leave programs this year, advocates said.
