Post-Dobbs, state legislatures pass health data protections

Bills in Connecticut and Nevada are awaiting signatures from the governors.

Lawmakers in Connecticut and Nevada passed health data privacy measures aimed at protecting consumers, including those seeking abortions or transgender treatment.

The two states are following the lead of Washington State. The New York Senate passed similar legislation that failed to achieve final passage before the legislature adjourned.
